Mahorall is a small family farm situated in the beautiful rolling hills of South Shropshire.Located seven miles east of the picturesque town of Ludlow, the farm has been owned and run by the King-Turner family for nearly 4o years. We have been able to trace the farm back to 1650 and of course many different types of farming enterprises have happened as time has gone by. In the year 2000 the King-Turner family moved from traditional mixed farming to making a small amount of traditional cider for sale.We now make over 30000 litres of cider a year using apples from the farm and the surrounding area. Using only 100% fresh apple juice and wild natural yeast to achieve a taste as cider should be.Visitors are welcome to come to the farm and see us to visit our small shop and walk around our free nature trail.Made from 100% pure apple juice and fermented by wild natural yeast - just as cider should be . Today people are rightly more aware of how their food and drink is made. We believe the closer to a natural product the better. We dont even add any yeast to the fermentation process and all our ciders work from natural yeast. This yeast is either in the atmosphere or on the apples we use. By making our cider using different apple varieties and not using any added chemicals, flavourings or sulphites enables us to have a range of naturally tasting quality cider.
We sell our cider in two different ranges.
Draught Cider - Available at the farm and at the festivals we attend. We offer dry and medium still ciders in this range which has an average abv of 6.5%.Crown Cap Range - We currently sell two types of cider in glass 50 cl bottles.
A dry carbonated and a medium sweet carbonated cider is available and has a longer shelf life than the draught. We sell our cider at the farm, shops, restaurants, and various food fayres we attend.
By only using local apples and making our cider using natural methods is what makes Mahorall Farm Cider a true taste of Shropshire
